Wicked

Today was undoubtedly the best day of my life thus far. The chorus at school went into the city to see Wicked, which would have been a sufficiently awesome day. But we had a workshop with a musical director who's done a lot of broadway/off broadway directing and acting and such and an ensemble member from Wicked who was also Galinda's understudy. The guy taught us the chorus part in the middle of What is This Feeling and the lady was gonna sing the duet part, but she was like "I don't really know Elphaba's part that well, so I'll just do my best to do both parts when I can" but a couple people were like "Kaitlyn could do it! she knows it!" SO I SANG WITH HER AS ELPHABA. It was probably the most exhilarating thing I've ever experienced. We like acted it out and stuff, it was sooo much fun.

That's my story for today. Then I met Fiyero.

NYC and Billy Joel

This weekend was quite fun. Sarah Kelcie and I went into the city to see Altar Boyz, which was hilarious. I have some pretty schveet pictures.

"paraphinalia."

haha i thought we were gonna get mugged right there.

You can't really tell here, but Sarah and I are hating Monopoly.

Yeah, we go to different states to see shows quite frequently.

NUTS4NUTS and too much coffee maked for awesome/terrible pictures.

Well, today at choir practice we started Billy Joel's "Lullabye" song, and it's probably one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. The guy at the army band sang it last week, and that was the first I'd ever heard it. I also remember "and So It Goes" from when we did it freshmen year, and I fell in love with billy Joel. Well, his music, rather... Billy Joel himself is kind of drunk a lot these days. His music and lyrics are amazing. Anywho, super 13 hour schoolday Mondays are back, which is "fun," but I guess it's fun.
